Research and Reference
Visit the LRC when you’re starting a research paper or working on other assignments. Our staff members can help you decide which databases will be most useful and can show you how to retrieve, evaluate, print, and email articles.
McKinstry Library on the Lincoln, Illinois campus, provides LCN students easy access to round the clock research through remote access to the College’s collection of online databases. (For students, the username consists of your first initial and last name, e.g., jdoe, and the password is your Lincoln College ID number. Faculty and staff can log in using their Lincoln College email information.) McKinstry also provides LCN students and faculty checkout privileges and access to interlibrary loan.
Normal Public Library
You can apply for a Normal Public Library (NPL) card if you live in Normal (including students living in the residence halls). With the NPL card, you can do online research from anywhere as well as check out books, videos, CDs, and other materials.

Through I-Share, a consortium of academic and research libraries, Lincoln College students and faculty are able to check out books through Illinois State University’s Milner Library. You can create an I-Share account online.
